How can I go from installed SHIFT6MQ.SOS.3.8.L.20220920 to SHIFT6MQ.SOS.3.8.G.20220824?

Running adb sideload

Running adb sideload SHIFT6MQ.SOS.3.8.G.20220824-RELEASE-OTA.zip

results in:

Installing update...
E:Update package is older than the current build, expected a build newer than timestamp 1663672237 but package has timestamp 1661346231 and downgrade not allowed.

The error message says it all, doesn't it? On Android you are not allowed to downgrade.

There used to be a downgrade package. Don't know if it still works. Also other solutions have been mentioned here but they are not straightforward.

Probably it's best to wait for an update. I think there will be one in the near future.

Maybe but I never tried this. Eventually somebody else can confirm it. My thoughts also went in that direction.
