SHIFT Team-Time vom 10. – 12. Juni 2026
Auch in diesem Jahr gönnen wir uns eine kurze Auszeit, um als Team zusammenzukommen, gemeinsam zurückzublicken und Pläne für die Zukunft zu schmieden. Eine Notbesetzung wird sich um die wichtigsten Themen kümmern. Dennoch kann es zwischen dem 10. und 12. Juni zu Verzögerungen in der Bearbeitung unserer Supportanfragen kommen. Ab dem 15. Juni sind wir wieder wie gewohnt für euch da.
Servus 
ShiftOS Lite ist noch im Beta Stadium und ist daher nicht direkt im Forum sichtbar. Du kannst in deinen Profileinstellungen den Punkt "Beta Tester werden | Join the Beta program" auswählen. Dann bekommst du automatisch Zugriff auf die Unterforen für die Beta Software (das kann ein bisschen dauern). Dort findest du dann auch eine Anleitung dazu

Die Lite-Version enthält im Gegensatz zur normalen Version keine Google-Dienste oder Google-Apps.(Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe)
ich auch. Aber manche Leute wundern sich dann, daß bestimmte Apps nicht mehr funktionieren, weil die Info kommt, daß sie dazu google services brauchen.
Wollte dem Fragesteller erklären, was im Gegensatz zur G-Version nicht geht.

I think you can't use the Google playstore with ShiftOS-L anymore , but for example there is F-Froid (F-Droid only offer apps, that are OpenSource and "clean")

Aurora Store kannte ich gar nicht. Das klingt aber sehr vielversprechend, quasi genau das was ich brauche... Apps aus dem PlayStore ohne Google.
Was bekommt man nicht? Kostenpflichtige Apps, aber soweit ich weiß kann man damit trotzdem sein Google Konto nutzen!

Okay alles klar! Dann liegt es daran das microG die benötigten Funktion nicht implementiert hat.
Das ist aber aus deinem Post nicht hervorgegangen, da hat es sich so angehört als ob man es dort nicht bekommen könnte. Sind theoretisch zwei verschiedene Punkte die aber in der Praxis keinen Unterschied machen

@JesusGod-Pope666 you might be talking about the Aurora Store(a fork of the most likely discontinued Yalp Store) a privacy respecting front-end("presentation layer") for the Google Play store and, you are right, you can totally use this for easy installation and management of your apps, even though I would recommend you use it with an anonymous auto generated google account(can be generated with one click in the APP) you can also login with your normal Google account and install all kind of payed apps etc..

However with the "Google-less" version of Android you might run into some "compatiblity" problems(no Push-Messanging(only Pooling), Banking Apps might not work etc.) or just annoying messages about "compatibility problems" etc. but we can solve this easily by installing microG it is a "re-implementation of Google’s proprietary Android user space apps and libraries".
You can see a more detailed instruction of how to install the DeGoogled, UnGoogled or GoogleLess ShiftOS version (and microG) on your phone in this thread.(for translation please @me or/and just write a reply to the linked thread and I will be pleased to translate the installation instructions for you or maybe someone will be quicker than I am and do the translation, so don't be shy)
If you want to install ShiftOS-L or any Beta version of either ShiftOS-L(currently only Beta) or ShiftOS-G you should go to your forum account preferences and participate in Beta testing("Join the Beta program").
kann man schon abschätzen wann Lite OS die Beta Phase verlässt? Ich würde nämlich gerne so wenig Daten weitergeben wie möglich, allerdings soll es auch benutzbar bleiben. Um microG wird man da wohl nicht herumkommen.

ShiftOS-L hat beim Shift6mq die Betaphase bereits verlassen sonst wäre diese Ankündigung im Betabereich!
Genaugenommen hat es die Betaphase am 26.02.2021 verlassen. Von diesem Datum ist die erste Nicht-Beta-Version.
