Because this was discussed in detail during the crowd-funding phase in the Shift Talks and it's a 'gimmic'-feature: A passive 3.5mm jack to USB-C adapter is required. Why didn't Shift mentioned it on their web site?
Are there other apps than „FM Radio“?
No.Is DAB+ radio supported too?
Doesn't work.Finally there's Radio app in OS-L 7.1.
Can anyone confirm that the radio works?
I tried it with usb c extendion cable (to serve as antenna) and usb c headphones but it did not make any sound.
It tuned several stations so the antenna works, I suspect. But no sound at all.
Hopefully the next SHIFTphone will support FM & DAB radio.Doesn't work.
Shiftphone 8.1; iodé 7.7 (A16); com.caf.fmradio V.16.
Tried with 2 different adapters (shift and Grundig) and a headset - no sound at all.
That's a real pity as the FM Radio was one important reason why I preferred shift over Fairphone.
