ShiftOS-L vs /e/OS

Ich bin froh, dass ich bisher die Attestation die nicht benötige. Das ist auch gut so, denn ich kann mir meine Smartphones ohne root nicht vorstellen!

[Sorry for writing in English]

I would like to ask for an update: given the fact that SafetyNet has been basically deprecated and substituted with PlayIntegrity, has anything changed to use de-Google OSs?

I never had a ShiftPhone and I'm waiting for the delivery of the 8, and I want to test ShiftOS-L, but I will also need to use apps that require a positive PlayIntegrity check (banking, ID, ..gaming.. damned Ingress!).

Is it feasible to have these apps working on such an OS without having to deal with rooting? Or is root access and some kind of PI-fix required regardless?

I would assume that, given these apps' necessity for a green light from a PlayIntegrity check, and the fact that PlayIntegrity is a Google invention, they would not work on de-Googled OSs, at least not without some root tinkering.. but I would like some user experience confirmation, if possible!

Im not firm on these topics regarding the change from safetynet to playintegrety, but On my 6m with android 8.1 there is no issue using two different banking apps atm. Afaik root is the only issue with these, if they detect that, they stop working in case of tempering.
U need microG though, but that shouldnt be a problem. There are posts complaining that the fingerprint sensor does not work anymore with the 6mq and some banking stuff, maybe thats connected?
