Enabling VoLTE or VoWIFI when using a Play Polish SIM (MCC 260 MNC 06) with any software so far on Shiftphone 8.1 results in Caller ID not working, always returning Unknown for the phone number. This includes new 7.0L software. The phone does register both for VoLTE and VoWIFI fine and they work otherwise.
I have contacted the operator in this matter and they tell me the phone itself needs some sort of radio setup in it, and as they don't offer it they cannot support it themselves.
Considering what I know about implementation of this in mobile phones, they probably mean the vendor software has wrong SUPL information for the operator.

On an unrelated note, the vendor security version and kernel version is just ancient in every software I tried so far for this phone. It'd be nice to get a GKI 2 compatible one - this old one is full of security holes even though Qualcomm tried patching some of them.

Note: I'm much better at English than German, but if you strongly prefer that, I can oblige.

Hi,

Have you already checked or updated your current APN settings?

If not, it would definitely be helpful to contact Shift support.

Yeah, APN settings seem correct, at least as far as matching identical settings on a working Nokia XR20. I'll look into this support contact, why not.

I have the same problem, except I'm located in Slovenia. One thing I haven't yet had time to try is installing the original ShiftOS with Google stuff as supposedly for some carriers, radio information can come from Play Store. But I don't know if that is true or if it works without a Google account, which I don't have. Have you perchance tried that?

I've contacted Shift support a while ago. They seemed to be pretty busy, as it took along time and they replied with rather generic instructions involving checking IMS status, which I had already done. Please let me know if you have more luck. I'm afraid getting the carriers here to do something is going to be problematic.

Ah, I see I was a bit unfair wrt. Shift support, I have the same topic open with Fairphone support because Fairphone 5 has the same issue, and I confused the two threads. In any case, the issue remains unresolved.

Yes. com.google.android.euicc. But LineageOS/ShiftOS-l has it also (in a patched version).
